Review by hotel critic
As a marine biologist from Edinburgh, I often seek family-friendly accommodations that also embrace local culture and natural beauty. Our recent stay at the Goldfinch Hotel met our needs well. Situated conveniently near the city center, we found it an ideal base to explore the vibrant surroundings. The hospitality from the front desk staff was commendable; they made us feel welcome throughout our visit. We particularly enjoyed the thoughtfully prepared meals, with the chef and his team impressing us with local flavors. Our children appreciated the cozy 32-inch flat-screen television for evening entertainment, allowing us to unwind together. While the absence of bathrobes in the rooms was noted, it didn't detract from an overall enjoyable experience. With a variety of restaurants on-site, we loved having multiple dining options. This hotel will certainly be on our list for future family adventures.
